The ESC publications reflect its interdisciplinary research and knowledge transfer in the field of energy at ETH Zurich. This page features current and previous ESC White Papers and Policy Briefs, as well as scientific publications by ESC members, bringing together current research findings, analyses, and recommendations for academia, policy, and practice.
In June 2026, 19 energy experts from ETH Zurich and the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) published the White Paper “Nuclear Power and the Future Swiss Energy System: A Techno-Economic Modelling Analysis”. The study analyses the economic conditions under which the construction of new nuclear power plants could be viable within the future Swiss energy system.
