The Energy Science Center (ESC) is delighted to welcome Prof. Maria Lukatskaya as member of the competence center. Maria Lukatskaya works in the areas of new materials and electrolytes for energy storage and conversion, as well as in electrochemistry, material synthesis and material characterisation.

The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Applied Technology in Energy is designed to provide managers and professionals with a deeper education in the rapidly evolving world of energy and electrification. Congratulations to Prof. Gabriela Hug for winning the ALEA Award 2019

Out of a total of 43 nominees for the first time three women were the finalists for the ALEA Award in 2019: Ursula Müller, head of the ETH library (ETH Zentrum), Consuelo de Moraes, Professor at the Department of Environmental Systems Science, and Gabriela Hug, Professor at the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering. Gabriela Hug, member of the Energy Science Center, won the ALEA award in 2019 for exemplary leadership.

  • Public tour: Tuesday, 25 February 2020, from 6.15 p.m. to 7.15 p.m. Sign up here.
  • Tour for ETH members: Friday, 4 March 2020. English from 12.00 p.m. to 1.00 p.m.; German from 1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. Sign up here.
  • Additional tours will be offered as part of the Treffpunkt Science City event series in autumn 2020.

Or visit the exhibit on the Anergy Grid from 12 February through 26 March at Campus Info (HIL building) on the Hönggerberg campus. Opening hours Monday to Friday, 7.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

CAS Applied Technology in Energy

ETH Zurich's new programme Applied Technology in Energy (CAS ATE) provides managers with energy technology qualifications for leadership positions, enabling them to shape the energy future of their company and industry.

The CAS ATE is co-hosted by the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (D-ITET) and the Energy Science Center.

Programme start: April 2020

Application Deadline: 28 February 2020
