Funding program "SWEET" to run from 2021 to 2032
At its meeting on 26 February the Swiss Federal Council approved the dispatch on the new funding program "Swiss energy research for the energy transition" (SWEET) for the attention of the Swiss Parliament.
Switzerland’s strategy will not deliver the solar power it needs.
The Swiss federal council proposes to support large-scale solar PV with competitive auctions for one-off investment grants. This will not scale up solar PV investment to the extent necessary to reach the Swiss climate and energy targets.
